I’m sorry, but I don’t provide refunds. The sitting fee is for the photographer’s time and talent.
Please contact me if you have print requests outside of what I have listed. What I have listed are just the most common print sizes and products.
Camera prices have dropped substantially over the past several years. However, even with having a nice camera, knowledge, skill, experience, and talent are still needed to take great photos. Things such as white balance, depth of field, off camera lighting, and the balancing of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO are not easily mastered. When you hire me you are hiring somebody with experience, knowledge, and the focus that is required and should be expected from a professional, dedicated photographer.
I currently accept cash or check. Prints and/or digital copies will be provided after payment has been received. Additional or a la carte prints can be purchased online using a credit/debit card.
I shoot with Canon equipment. I have 2 camera bodies, 5 lenses, and an extensive list of accessories to aid in taking great photographs. I also utilize Photoshop for any adjustments I deem necessary such as color correction, blemish removal, sharpening, black & white conversions and other special effects.
Not exactly. After a photo shoot I immediately delete any pictures that are not usable (test shots, the occasional out of focus one, etc). I then save the pictures to my computer and 2 external hard drives for long term storage. I keep most pictures for a very long time.
Portraits
I require a parent or guardian to be present if you are under 18 years of age. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
Before shooting, I will spend a few minutes to talk with you and take the opportunity to learn who you are and what your interests are and maybe even tell a few really bad jokes to lighten the mood. While I’m photographing, I will be directing poses, facial expressions, etc. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible to get the most natural look possible. Taking pictures are supposed to be fun!
This is ultimately up to you, but I would recommend avoiding very bright colors or white, if possible.
Where you live and how far you’re willing to travel will dictate where we will take pictures. We can take pictures at your home, a nearby park, or a local scenic location like Alki Beach or Gas Works Park.
Weddings
I primarily shoot in a photojournalistic fashion… a candid style that captures the excitement and emotions of the day’s events.
Reliability. Professionalism. Quality. To best capture your special day I will scout the wedding day location in advance, as well as meet with the Bride and Groom at least once before the wedding. I have multiple camera bodies, lenses, flashes, batteries, and memory cards so that equipment failure will not affect your special day. I’m very cautious to ensure that your special day will be captured without interruption and without any worry. I am a professional and will always act as such.
